Updated over 5 months ago

πŸ”” You can notify a claim regarding an event or an instruction. See "Creating an event" for steps to create an event.

πŸ“„ Download Contractor Claim flowchart for a view of the entire Claim process from the notice to agreement/determination

Navigate to the event or instruction you want to send a notice of claim about.

Look for a yellow panel near the top right of the screen advising you whether you may notify a claim regarding the event or instruction you are viewing.

Click the arrow in the yellow panel to proceed.

Select "Give a Notice of Claim" from the "Actions available" dropdown.

You are now prompted for additional information:

  • select the claim type that best suits the event that occurred or instruction that was received (the claim type dropdown shows a description and clause numbers for which you may pursue a claim);

  • if you previously sent an advance/early warning about this matter select it now, otherwise leave the "Advance warning given?" field blank.

Click "Send" to proceed to the confirmation page."

Enlarge the preview and examine the notice of claim C-COM has generated for you.
